Thompson Rivers University's WolfPack will finally get to kick the ball around today after smoky skies lead to delays for the home opener.

The men's soccer team will be hitting the field at Hillside Stadium at 3 p.m. in a match originally slated for Saturday, Aug. 25, according to a press release. They'll be playing the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades.

"It has been very difficult for both teams with the uncertainty about playing and many changes because of the smoke but we are relieved to be able to get this game in," says coach John Antulov in the press release. The team's second game, facing off with the Trinity Western University Spartans, has also been delayed. The postponed game will be rescheduled later this week.

For those wanting to attend, gates open at noon. Tickets purchased for the originally scheduled time are still good for today's game.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $2 for students and free for children under 12.
