Check out these videos a paraglider took of the Thompson Valley and Coquihalla Summit

Simply breathtaking...

When you travel around Kamloops most of your views are from the valley bottom. Maybe on a hike, you'll see the vista from a nearby peak or ridge.

Simon Hergot has gone a step further, stepping off the mountain tops and into the air above Kamloops and around the region. His YouTube channel is peppered with paragliding videos showcasing the interior of B.C. from above as he hikes and falls, with style, back down.

Two of his recent videos capture areas many know well from an angle almost no one has seen. In the first video, his most recent, he's floating over the Coquihalla Summit, with the snowcapped forest in the foreground and the highway just a dark ribbon in the background.

In the second video, shot in early November, he jumps off three local peaks around Kamloops; perhaps most notably, Mt. Peter as he lands on the Sun Rivers golf course. However, his shots from his sunset climb up Mara Hill in the Lac du Bois Grasslands show some spectacular views.

He has more videos from throughout the province on his YouTube channel and on his Instagram page.
