Good news for Barnhartvale residents – the City of Kamloops has reopened the 7200 block of Barnhartvale Road.

The stretch of road was closed on May 5 after water from Campbell Creek flooded the area.

"The city is working closely with the B.C. River Forecast Centre and Emergency Management B.C. to monitor snowpack levels, snow melt and water levels in local waterways," reads a press release. "The city will continue to provide updates on water levels and flood preparation activities as necessary. Residents are reminded to exercise caution near waterways and high, fast-moving water."
