Thompson Rivers University (TRU) cheerleaders and runners were in action this weekend, and both groups saw success.

Two of the WolfPack's cheerleading squads spent the weekend at the Sea to Sky International Championships in Vancouver, with teams from across Western Canada and U.S. Team Orange placed first in their category, while Team Black finished second behind Burnaby's Simon Fraser University, according to a press release.

Meanwhile, the university's cross country team were also in Vancouver (OK, technically Surrey). In the women's 1,500 m race, Zoe Painter finished sixth and set a school record (and personal best), finishing in 4:52.82 (beating a rival by 0.2 of a second). She also finished seventh overall in the 800 m.

Calum Carrigan also set a TRU record with a 4:02.38 in the men's 1,500 m, finishing seventh overall.
