The Kamloops branch of KidSport is looking to get more kids active.

The charity is holding its annual KidSport Week to bring awareness to their activities, which are mostly raising money and then providing grants of up to $500 to kids to cover sports registration and equipment.

"Kamloops is an amazing community. The financial support we receive from our donors is overwhelming," says the local organization's chair, Scott Andruschak. "Our biggest challenge is spreading the word."

Last year the organization helped 200 kids, according to a press release.

"There are more kids we can help," Andruschak says in the release. "We just need to let them know that we are here to help."

Support is provided to children and teens up to 18 years old. For more information, click HERE.
