Kamloops shows up on BBC documentary series

If you noticed some British TV crews in Kamloops last summer, now you can see what they were up to.

This year, Kamloops showed up in two episodes of the BBC Two series "Great Canadian Railway Journeys."

As a part of the Rocky Mountaineer's route from Vancouver to Calgary, Kamloops appears up in two episodes. In particular, Kamloops and the nearby area feature in the eighth episode of the series.

Host Michael Portillo explores the area with Frank Ritcey of WildSafe B.C., visits the city's downtown for a coffee and goes to the B.C. Wildlife Park. While he's explaining the history of the area, he has some fairly... unique pronunciations of local place names.

Check out these clips from the show. The series has already aired in England.
