Got a great voice that you want to share with Kamloops?

Well if you act fast, you could be singing tunes in front of hundreds of fans. Actually, just one tune; the Canadian national anthem.

Ahead of the 2019-20 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season, the Kamloops Storm are looking to attract local crooners to open up each game with a rousing rendition of O Canada.

"We are hosting just shy of 30 games this season and (in true Canadian fashion) are looking for a person/person’s to help us start the game with the national anthem," says Kathy Grant, who heads up marketing for the team, in an email. "Experience is not necessary, nor is age – we are looking for an individual or individuals that don’t shy away from the microphone, know the lyrics to our anthem, and are dependable."

Even if you're not confident that you have a great set of pipes, it's worth a shot. Both you and a friend will get free admission to the game you sing at.

Anyone that is interested is asked to reach out to marketing@kamloopsstorm.com or reach out via private message on Facebook.
