Man robbed at knifepoint on TRU campus

A man was robbed in broad daylight on the Thompson Rivers University campus Monday (March 11), according to a press release from Kamloops RCMP.

Police responded to a call around 2:40 p.m. from a man who had his wallet stolen. The victim was walking along Wolfpack Road and College Drive when a male suspect approached him with a knife and demanded his wallet. The suspect then made off toward Summit Drive.

No one was injured. Shortly after, the stolen wallet was found on campus and turned into security. Cash was missing from it, but other items were accounted for.

The suspect is described as six feet tall, in his mid-20s, wearing a grey hoodie, jeans and carrying a leather striped backpack.
