An anonymous benefactor is looking to match donations made to three Kamloops organizations though the B.C. Interior Community Foundation (BCICF) this fall.

The mystery donor will match private contributions made to the Kamloops SPCA, the Kamloops Food Bank and the Kamloops Hospice House from Aug. 1 until Dec. 31, according to a release from the BCICF,

This anonymous donor will match up to $2,500 for each agency, for a total of $7,500.

"The BCICF is very grateful to this wonderful donor and his mission to leave a legacy for future generations; he is a firm believer in the benefit of endowed funds to help local organizations strengthen our communities," says executive director Robert Miller in a release. "Canada-wide, community foundations are set up with the intention to provide long-term charitable funding and this is reflected in the B.C. Interior Community Foundation's intention to encourage donors to 'Give Today, Grow Tomorrow.'"
