If you're looking for a fun way to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, Western Canada Theatre has you covered.
The organization is bringing the All A'Broad Community Cabaret to the Pavilion Theatre stage.
The acts (all local) will range from burlesque and comedy to singing and dancing.
"We've been really impressed by the quality of submissions for the cabaret and inspired by the performers' personal stories, which we'll be weaving into the show," says Tracey Power, the show's curator, in a press release.
The acts have all been inspired by the goals of International Women's Day: "celebrating women's achievements while leveraging women's advancements, accelerating gender parity, reinforcing commitment to diversity and inclusion," reads the release.
Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Y's Women Emergency Shelter in Kamloops.
The cabaret lineup will be released on Western Canada Theatre's website on Feb. 16.
Doors to the event open at 7 p.m. The show runs from 8 to 10 p.m. Seating is reserved throughout. Regular tickets cost $20 or $100 for a VIP table of four. You can book your tickets at the Kamloops Live! Box office: online, in person at 1025 Lorne St. or by phone (250-374-5483).
