Whether you were around to see the original version or you simply love the classics, you'll want to check out the Louisiana Hayride Show when it makes a stop in Kamloops tomorrow (April 14).

The show has officially been touring across western Canada for 10 years, performing in front of sold-out crowds of all ages. Their signature blend of the country classics and ‘rockabilly’ hits pull the best of the 50s, 60s, and 70s and are performed in tribute to the historical radio program of the same name.

The combination of musical talent and even a bit of acting pulls guests in and makes you feel as if you are stepping back in time.

“You’ll think you’re at their concert when you see Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Crystal Gayle, Lefty Frizzell, Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson step on stage to perform for you,” their official Facebook page states.

A newer feature to the show gives a slight nod to the recent generation of country music with a Shania Twain tribute.

“In addition to the tributes to these legends, you’ll also enjoy music by ‘greats' such as Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Conway Twitty, Charley Pride and more,” says the Facebook page. “The talented singers and musicians of the Louisiana Hayride Show recreate these iconic artists and take you on a musical journey with their legendary hits. The ability of the cast to transform themselves into the artists they are portraying, both in look and sound is amazing.”

If you are looking to take a trip down memory lane this weekend, this unique show will do just the trick.

The all-ages show takes place at the Coast Hotel on April 14, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the two-hour show are $49.84 plus GST and can be purchased through Kamloops Live Box Office.
