On Our Radar: World Juniors exhibition sees international rivals face off in Kamloops

(via Brendan Kergin)

Vodka versus bourbon. Bear versus eagle. Trump versus Putin (kind of).

Kamloops will be the site of a classic international rivalry put to skates tonight (Dec. 20) as the Russian and American junior hockey teams face off in advance of this year's tournament in Vancouver and Victoria. For the teams, made up of young players mostly already drafted by NHL teams, it will be their first action of the tournament.

Things kick off at 7 p.m. in the Sandman Centre. But before the two teams face off a pre-game party is planned for the plaza in front of the arena with family-friendly entertainment and food. That portion of the evening starts at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets for the game are still available. They're running between $25 and $30 each.
