If you were planning to buy tickets for this year's Center of Gravity show, you'll have to wait another year.

Organizers have hit pause on the Kelowna-based beach festival for 2019, with plans to return in 2020 with "a fresh vision" and "renewed support."

The announcement was made Friday afternoon (Feb. 15) on the Center of Gravity's social media channels.

"Since its inauguration in 2008, Center of Gravity has grown to become one of the largest sports and music festivals in Canada," reads the post. "This would not have made possible without the support of all of our fans, artists, athletes, vendors, and partners. We are truly grateful for the contribution that each of you provided in helping us create this amazing event."

The festival has attracted the likes of Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris, Tegan and Sara, and Tiësto.

Online reaction to the announcement is mixed.
