Books, busking and bathroom art are all coming together on the North Shore for the next couple of weeks.

In an effort to help raise funds for the McDonald Park murals, Red Beard Cafe, the McDonald Park Neighbourhood Association and the Kamloops Symphony are collaborating on a pop-up book shop.

The impromptu store will be located on Tranquille Road between Red Beard and its sister cafe Moustache and Go and stocked with books from the Kamloops Symphony (they run Barb's Used Book and Music Sale), according to a press release.

To add a bit of atmosphere, the North Shore Business Improvement Association will extend the hours of their busking program.

The shop will run the following Saturdays: Aug. 24, Aug. 31 and Sept. 7.

Funds raised will go toward the McDonald Park Neighbourhood Association's mural project and the Kamloops Symphony.
