The fatal crash at Battle Street and First Avenue last week has claimed a third life.
A man listed in critical condition after the accident has succumbed to his injuries, according to a press release from Kamloops RCMP.
Two other men, Daniel Okocha and Feyisola (David) Adebowale, died at the scene. A fourth man in the car survived with non-life threatening injuries.
Okocha's brother, David, identified the third victim as Kelvin Oluwatosin Adeojo, during an interview with KamloopsMatters on Nov. 10. Adeojo was in his mid-30s.
All four were international students at Thompson Rivers University, current and alumni.
The four were in a red sedan on Sunday, Nov. 3, when it was hit by a blue pickup around 1:40 a.m. The driver of the pickup fled the scene, leaving the truck behind.
Police have identified the alleged driver of the truck, but charges haven't been laid.
Police did arrest the owner of the truck on Sunday, Nov. 3, but released him later that day. A house on Fernie Place in the Guerin Creek area was also searched as a part of the investigation.
Mounties want to speak to one more individual, a woman who helped with first aid at the scene. (This is not the same witness who was seen walking along First Avenue; police have identified that witness and have spoken to her.)
She was wearing a long, white coat with black geometric signs on it, notes the release.
"If you provided first aid at this scene and have not yet spoken with police, please contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000," says Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.
Shelkie notes once all witnesses have been spoken to and all forensic evidence has been processed, police will then forward the case file to the BC Prosecution Service. The service will determine what, if any, charges are applicable.
