The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack are headed to the medal round at the 2019 National College Baseball Championship after squeaking out a 1-0 win over the Lionel-Groulx Nordiques this morning (Oct. 25).

TRU's pitching hung on for the win after the WolfPack got the lead in the top of the second. Jack Suhai started on the mound for TRU and went four innings and a third, striking out two. Eric Turner closed out the rest of the game from there.

The WolfPack went 1-1 in the opening round yesterday, losing 2-1 to the host Humber Hawks before mercy ruling the John Abbott Islanders in a 10-0 rout.

TRU now advances to the semifinals at 1 p.m. PST today, against the Holland College Hurricanes from P.E.I.

The medal round will go tomorrow (Oct. 26).
