Turning craft beer into theatre: Brewloops donates $20,000 to Western Canada Theatre

How many tickets to the play can you get for $20,000?

The answer doesn't matter to BrewLoops, they're handing a cheque over for that much to Western Canada Theatre (WCT) because that's what they do. It's the second donation in as many years from the organizers of craft beer events around Kamloops to the much loved theatre company.

“BrewLoops finds tremendous value in our partnership with WCT. Not only do members of the WCT team aid in the year-round operation of the BrewLoops Society, but many of WCT’s staff and volunteers help by working BrewLoops events," says BrewLoops Society member Tyson Andrykew in a press release. "BrewLoops believes in celebrating and supporting the arts and culture in Kamloops as a way to enhance our city.”

Evan Klassen, general manager at WCT, calls the donation vital.

"We thank all the donors, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees of BrewLoops, for enabling WCT to build the very best theatre for our community," he says in the release.
