Woman's body discovered on downtown Kamloops walking path

No crime is suspected in her death

A woman's body was discovered Thursday morning (Aug. 9) off a walking path between Riverside Park and Pioneer Park.

The body of a woman on the ground was reported to the Kamloops RCMP by a member of the public at 9:30 a.m., according to a press release. When police arrived they found the body just off the path.

According to police, she was in her 60s and from Kamloops.

No crime is suspected in her death and the B.C. Coroners Service is looking into the cause.
