Led by Kordell Primus, the visiting Kamloops Venom dominated the Armstrong Shamrocks 15-6 on Friday night (June 1) running their Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League (TOJLL) record to 5-1-1.
Primus had a hat trick, bringing his total to 11 goals in the last three games. Primus has a particularly hot streak for a team that's been on fire since their season-opening loss to Vernon. Since that game, the Venom are unbeaten in six and boast a +34 goal differential over that streak.
Anthony Matusiak, Nathan Fraser, Tylor Seabrooke, Ryan Dergousoff and Zach Hebden all had a pair of goals in the win. Troy Cuzzetto played the majority of the game in net before Kamloops minor lacrosse call-up Reed Watson got a chance to play late in the blowout.
It was scrappy affair, with the Venom's John Black getting in a fight during the game that saw 150 combined penalty minutes.
The Venom will rest over the weekend, before traveling to Penticton on Monday and take on the South Okanagan Flames (1-4-2) at 7:30 p.m.
