The TRU WolfPack carried over their stellar play from last night into this morning, beating the University of Calgary Dinos 9-2 on the second day of the CCBC Championship Tournament.

"It was a great game, the Calgary Dinos fought really well," said catcher/infielder Noah Foufolas during the broadcast. "They had a couple of unfortunate errors that we were able to capitalize on. Dylan (Ferguson) pitched great; we were very strong defensively. It was a good win overall."

Ferguson threw a complete game, allowing just four hits and two runs, neither earned. Offensively, Cole Paquin led the way with four RBIs on two hits. The Dinos committed four errors, while TRU had 10 hits as a team.

The win moved their record to 2-1, good enough for third in the standings behind the University of Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island University, who are both 2-0. VIU beat the WolfPack's next opponent, Okanagan College 16-9 this morning.

That means TRU will face a desperate 1-2 Coyotes team tonight at 7 p.m. Depending on the rest of today's results, a win tonight could secure a spot in Sunday's finals.
