After a big offensive showing on Friday morning, the WolfPack couldn't keep their hot bats going last night, losing to Okanagan College 3-0.

The loss sent TRU to 2-2 at the CCBC Championship and sets up a must-win game tonight (May 12) versus Vancouver Island University at 6 p.m.

Against Okanagan, the WolfPack offence that was present in the team's 9-2 win over Calgary went away. TRU managed to get five hits and another five walks but stranded every baserunner they had that night.

Trevor Brigden threw a gem for the Coyotes, going eight innings with 14 strikeouts. Zac Yandeau came in for the save for Okanagan. For TRU, Scott Wood took the loss despite a quality pitching effort. He threw seven innings, giving up three runs, only one earned.

The tournament's top three teams make Sunday's playoff, with two playing in a semi-final game at 10 a.m.

Okanagan's record is also at 2-2 and they'll play winless Calgary this afternoon. University of Fraser Valley has already booked a Sunday spot, sitting at the top of the table at 4-0. Just behind them is VIU at 3-0 and those teams play this morning. A Mariners win secures a playoff spot for them as well.

If a tiebreaker game is necessary, it will be played at 9 p.m. tonight, immediately following the TRU's battle with VIU.
