Timothy Donoghue, 78, left us on Dec. 27, 2018, with his wife and daughters by his side at the Trinity Unit, Overlander Extended Care and Hospice in Kamloops.
Timothy Patrick Michael was born April 28, 1940, in Maillardville, B.C. to Elphire and Daniel Donoghue. When Tim was in the army, he met Joyce Mulberry at the roller rink in Edmonton, Alta. They married on July 8, 1961. A couple days after their wedding they packed up and headed to the coast and remained in B.C.
Tim had many jobs over his lifetime: H&C Chemicals, taxi driver, steam engineer, TIJO Enterprises, Macleods Hardware, owner of Valleyview Garden Apartments, Sears Parts and Service. He also volunteered at the Salvation Army, Anglican Church, Cottonwood Manor plus his many acts of kindness.
Tim is survived by his loving wife Joyce; his three sisters Kathy Lilley, Nora (Ron) Bell and Mary (Bill) Holland; brothers, Pat (Brenda) and John (Tesa) Donoghue; three daughters and their spouses, Kim (Allan) Loberg, Connie (Ian) Watt and Kathy (Kenney) Adair, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have supported and comforted him through his time of need, including Rev. Sandra Sugden, Dr. S. Treissman, Dr. C. Jonker, Dr. J. Wilshire, Dr. D. Hamilton, Drake Smith and the staff at the Overlander Residential Care – Trinity Unit (Hospice).
